Exercise 14-Interpretative processing

For this exercise I picked a photograph that I had taken on holiday in Germany.  The photograph had a reasonably low dynamic range and I thought that it had potential for different interpretations.

This first picture is the original version.  There are quite a lot of areas in the picture that are in shadow, and the colours are quite weak, so there was something to work with.

OCAlogoFor the first altered picture I wanted to create more interest so I have increased the saturation and lighted the shadows.
My second interpretation is a black and white version.  I once again lighten the shadows and brought some detail into the clouds.  I was intending to create a moodier version of the shot.
My final version of the photograph is an attempt to make the photograph warmer and give a better sense of the summer sun that was in evidence the day I took the photograph.
My favourite version is the first changed version.   I like the way that the picture has more detail and colour.
