Exercise 15-Black and White

For this exercise I had to choose a subject that I though would look better in black and white.  I chose a wooden figurine that I have used for other exercises.  I thought that the simple design and the lines would create a good black and white shot.

This is the final version of my shot, I chose to tightly frame the photograph in order to extenuate the lines and shape.  I also chose to use a wide aperture to focus the top of the shot and blur the bottom where the differential between the whites and greys was not so clear.
